Rubik is an on-demand, on-site tech support service provided by  fully-vetted and background checked friendly techs. In addition to a complete range of in-home tech installation and support services, we also offer Rubik Now Online Support for issues that can be resolved remotely. We’re making technology friendly.

Rubik is currently serving the Greater London area! If you need our service in a more remote area, we offer Rubik Now Online Support for issues that can be resolved remotely.

Rubik Visit, our on-site tech support service is available from 8am to 9pm, 7 days a week and Rubik Now, our remote tech support service is available from 7am to 10pm, 7 days a week (subject to availability).

Rubik Visit Cancellations

Once a booking has been made by you, the customer, it is a contract between you, the customer, and us at Rubik, that the appointment will be attended and thus paid for.

We understand that on occasion you will be required to re-arrange pre-booked appointments for any number of reasons and as long as this is communicated clearly to us 24 hours prior to your appointment no charge will occur. If, however, you cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, a charge of £50 will apply.

In the case of a no show (failure to attend a pre-booked appointment) you agree to pay 100% of the appointment fee based on our original quotation (unless the appointment is rescheduled and paid in full and in advance – whereby a £30 fee will be charged).

Late cancellations and ‘no-shows’ disrupt the conscientious and prompt service we aspire to provide to all, we are very busy and there will always have been someone who could have slotted in to a missed appointment slot, which is why, as a courtesy to our other patrons and to staff, these charges exist. Sadly, no-shows and late cancellations cost our independent  business money every time.

Cancellations

On occasion, it may be necessary that we need to change your booking for some reason. Sometimes, due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, we may need to change your appointment. These occasions are rare, yet our client cancellation policy protects you as well.

If WE need to change your appointment we will give you as much notice as we possibly can. If we ask you to change your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, or if we are unable to offer you a suitable appointment on the same day, or if we need to move your appointment to another day because of our circumstances, you are welcome to an additional hour of our time or 15% off your appointment, whichever is preferable by way of compensation.

Rubik Now Cancellations

Once a booking has been made by you, the customer, it is a contract between you, the customer, and us at Rubik, that the appointment will be attended and thus paid for.

Rubik Now appointments require you to be at your compatible device pre-installed as per instruction on your confirmation email. You will also require a minimum internet connection of 1.5 mbps upload and 1.5 mbps download. We understand that on occasion you will be required to re-arrange pre-booked appointments for any number of reasons including technical limitations. Rubik Now appointments include one free rescheduling. Failure to connect during the agreed rescheduled appointment will conclude your Rubik Now session.

Simply, select the service you need from the main menu. Click ‘Book Now’ and provide a few details about your issue and the location where you need service. We’ll then contact you via email or phone call to arrange a convenient date and time for your appointment. You’ll receive a confirmation email once your appointment is confirmed. If you don’t receive a confirmation email 3 hours prior to your preferred time, please contact us right away at help@askrubik.com.

You can request on-site service as soon as the same day (subject to availability) through our website. If your service can be performed remotely, Rubik Now, our Instant Online Support is available daily from 7am – 10pm and is often the fastest way of getting issues resolved.

We can accommodate some requests, but please remember that our friendly techs are experts in specific areas. To ensure the best and most efficient service possible, we match you with the most qualified friendly tech for your issue. That may or may not be your previous friendly tech. If you’d like a specific friendly tech, please let us know during your initial enquiry.

This option is available for services that can be performed remotely. It’s great for more time-consuming services like virus removals and computer tune-ups. You can get support right away and we’re available 7am – 10pm. When you’re ready to begin, one of our techs will log into your computer to perform your service while you watch the magic happen right before your eyes. Remote services are discounted so not only is it convenient, it saves you money. If the service you need can be performed remotely we’ll let you know if it’s an option.

When requesting your service, you’ll provide your availability. Once we’ve found the right tech for your service, you’ll receive a confirmation email which will include your appointment date and time. That’s when your friendly tech will arrive – no 4 hour windows of time at Rubik. On the unfortunate instance your friendly tech is late, they will notify you with their current estimate of arrival via email or phone call. We strive for punctuality and don’t want to waste your precious time.

Rubik friendly tech’s come from a variety of backgrounds, are hand picked and have been fully vetted to demonstrate their knowledge through a series of skills assessments.

Each and every Rubik friendly tech undergoes a complete background check to ensure they are the sort of people we’d be happy to have work in our own homes or offices.

If you need additional service on an existing order, your tech will let our support team know. If you need a new service, you can book online. Please don’t contact your tech directly to book an appointment or make a payment.

Your Rubik ‘friendly tech’ is trained to handle the typical obstacles in a job, but if you need to reach us for any reason please email us at  help@askrubik.com.

Rubik Visit

We offer a fixed call out fee of £80 which includes a friendly tech assessment and 1 hour of service. Each additional hour of service is priced at £30. Additional charges for extras are offered for some services. You will receive a quote based on the information provided during booking.

Rubik Now

Our remote online support services are charged at a discounted rate and start at just £20. You will receive a quote based on the information provided during booking.

Rubik Visit

Our Rubik Visit’s can be paid for in person via your friendly tech’s secure card-reader. We are able to take chip, swipe and contactless payments from all major cards, as well as payments through Samsung Pay, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

You won’t be charged until after the visit is complete or when you request your friendly tech to stop.

Rubik Now

Our Rubik Now sessions can be paid for via all major cards, as well as payments through PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

You will be charged during confirmation of your booking.

No tip is necessary. But feel free to thank your friendly tech for doing a great job.
